This courtyard garden had rotten fence and a garden blocked by an old cherry tree. It can be a hard decision, to remove such an established specimen, but opening up the space allowed access to a triple grafted, espalliered pear and the chance to create a more usable space. The new fence gave us a fine backdrop for the rest of the elements to come together. Corten edging, weatherworn pavers, red gum sleepers and our fire pit.
